How about lumberjacks ? That's a pretty easy costume to toss together. All you need is a flannel shirt, jeans, suspenders, a knit hat and five o'clock shadow. lol.

Last week, I was at a local flea market and a couple of college students were checking out Halloween costumes being offered by a vendor. The young woman selected Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz outfit. It was a single piece. the vendor was telling her how easy it was to make ruby slippers. When her boyfriend asked what should he goes as, the vendor suggested the Wicked Witch of the West.

So, why don't you go as Dorothy and your son can dress up as the Wicked Witch ? That would be hilarious !

Also, check out your local Goodwill. They stock their racks with tons of different costumes, clothes at this time of year. There's still lots left. so why not check out their racks ? cowboy is always a safe bet and easy to do. If you can find a cap and gown, you could go as college graduates.

I LOVE Halloween! I dressed up every year before kids, I do it now that I have young children, and I'll still dress up when/if they decide they're too old. I'm one of the people who is always in costume when kids come trick or treating. ;)

This year I'm a steampunk-ish vampire hunter. My daughter is being a vampire queen, and my husband and son are both ninjas. We've all already worn our costumes twice--once to the monster ball at the kids' elementary school, and yesterday to the trick or treat trail at the local mall. I also wore mine to a Halloween party last night with friends.

I won't dress up (probably), but my girls will be a gypsy fortune-teller, a hocus-pocus witch and a St. Bernard.

I've got a purple fairy, a leopard, a ladybug, Yuna from Final Fantasy, and Lara Croft from TombRaider in my house. We have a big Halloween Party at church with lots of games and candy. Lots of fun.

I am going to be cotton candy or an Iris. Depends on whether I find green tights or not.

After helping my daughter with her wedding, and with holidays coming up I decided to go real cheap on my costume. I went to the 99 cent store and bought a mustache with furry eyebrows. I am going as Gene Shalit from the Today show way back.

Definitely! One of the few times you can act like a kid playing dress up as an adult. It helps that I work with kids, they love it when the adults get into the dress up days too. The hard part is finding a costume that is okay to wear to work or finding time to make one yourself.

Halloween fun is also encouraged where I work. Our office actually has contests for best costume and best theme. Each department picks a theme to decorate their area and then everybody that works in that department dresses up according to the theme.

No i don't dress up. My son's are older so they don't dress up either. There are so many ideas . How about a cat or witch for you. Your son could be a hobo with just a pair of jeans a plaid shirt and a kerchief tied to a stick . We did this one year for our son. Or how about a clown it takes a little make up . Have fun and think creative. Enjoy.

Yes I am. I am going to be a girl from the 1980's with big hair, glitter, the out ragious clothes and all. In the past I have went as a hippy, the bride of Frankenstein, a gypsy, an old lady grandma type and a man in a suit.
