I actually read an article about that yesterday and thought about it for a second then decided no. It sounds like it could help some people, but I don't think it would benefit me as much as the cost would be.

As as diet gimmicks go, it sounds rather useful and may help people lose weight by building an awareness of how they're eating. It's not a scam diet pill with a placebo affect. I guess if you have a chunk of change sitting around and want it, why not. Personally, I wouldn't waste the money on it. I'd rather buy new running shoes or register for a few classes at my gym.

It would be interesting to eat one meal with a fork like this just so see how I would rate on my eating speed and it might have an influence if it buzzes so much...I'd take note and eat slower. However, no, I would not buy one. Too much money and unattractive dinning ware.

I think this fork is ridiculous and is just another means of control by the Food Nazis, aka the Health Police. No thank you....

I don't think I need the fork because I'm a slow eater. But, I'd be interested to see what would happen if my hubby used the fork. He's a fast eater. The fork would probably vibrate itself to pieces.
Maybe it should weigh bites too, for those people who put too much in their mouths at one time.
No, I would not buy that silly looking fork. Reminds of the pig you put in the fridge and it oinks when you open the door.

That is funny!! I would starve if I had to use chopsticks I suck =(
I do eat fast though I would be curious to see how many times I got buzzed and told to slow down.

Well, it's a cute gimmick but way too expensive for me! What I used to do starting in high school is to bring my own chopsticks everywhere I ate. Now THAT can slow you down, lets you concentrate on taste and texture more. Plus it freaks out other people, which is always fun!

I am curious if anyone would buy this fork? Would you take it to restaurants with you? Do you think it would actually help you lose wt or at the very least make you eat slower?
