YES! Work out! Definitely a GOOD idea. Don't do overkill though. The workout will naturally release endorphins and will naturally thin out your blood as you sweat and your hearts starts racing. Blood flow will actually HELP with your headache. Don't let a headache discourage you from anything, hit the treadmill and do some cardio to help relieve that headache! :) emoticon

IT really depends on the headache, its cause, and how you feel.

Most of the time, a godo workout will increase bloodflow to the brain, and make my head feel better, the same way an excedrine migraine would. Sometimes, the headache is caused by something else, and even light exercise exacerbates it. I wouldn't try it with a migraine.

It's all about your comfort level.

I guess it depends on how bad the headache is. I went to spin class once with a headache and it was awful. My headache got worse.

Endorphins are natural painkillers.

Personally, I would work out. If it's going to get worse I would keep it short and less intense but get in some time at the gym. Just do what you can. Maybe take a couple of tylenol before you go to try and combat the headache and hopefully it won't get worse. The only time I skip a workout is when I'm truly sick. Just my opinion. Good luck.

Should you work out if you have a headache?

I get a headache when I'm stressed. I would like to get rid of my stress by going to the gym, but when I start getting my heart rate up, my headache gets worse. So I usually end up doing a low-intensity workout.

Any advice?
