Who Hoo! I am proud of you for giving up the habit of smoking. It can be such a nasty bug to get rid of once and for all. My mother still smokes and suffers from COPD and Chroninc Bronchitis. She has already had part of one lung removed due to the elasticity of the lung that created an air pocket the ruptured causing a lung collapse. Smoking does so much damage to the body over time.

On another note, when I first began SP,the first time, the scales only moved .03-0.6 a week. I was discouraged at first but then I began to feel the results. I found out that as your working your muscles you put on more weight but lose the fat content at the same time. Today, I have lost 13lbs in combination with Zumba 3X a week for 60 minutes a each day. I restarted my SP account a few days ago after not being active for a period of time and therefore, reset my weight.

Keep up the good work!

Congratulations on being able to recognize and celebrate the non-scale victories. It is such a healthy attitude.

AND congratulations for those victories too.

Just a reminder that sometimes the scale doesn't move, but it can still be a celebration - I started this journey Nov 27, 2012 and the scale has barely moved. But...I've been increasing my cardio and strength training since then.
The first week I only made it to the gym 3 times and could barely do 15 minutes on the stationary bike and 2 sets of 10 on weight equipment. I've slowly increased, and am now up to 5 or 6 times a week, 30 minutes of elliptical or treadmill and 3 sets of 15 on weight equipment.

Although I haven't lost but a pound or two in these 6 weeks, I'm finally starting to see and feel some changes:
There are some muscle lines in my arms and thighs now, and when I flex my arm the underarm wiggle has DEFINITELY improved.
The pants I"m wearing are baggy.
I can feel more definition and shape to my thighs and rear end.
I could hardly do 3 or 4 minutes on the elliptical at first before shifting to the bike. Now, those 30 minutes are starting to get easy...going to bump up to 35 minutes next week!
I FEEL stronger and more energetic.

Just remember to focus on the non-number wins as you go through this journey...I started to feel bad for myself not losing again this week, but I refocused, tweaked a few things, and rememberd the little wins over the past 6 weeks. If I keep doing what I'm doing, I WILL get out of the obesity range and continue moving toward a healthier me.
