Didn't think there was a message board called Women's Problems that Make Men Squirmish. But I will check that link out, thanks.

Um you realize you're posting a hormone question in a message board about nutrition, right? Not sure if we're allowed to post external links, but here's for trying:

Don't know what to tell you about the estrogen, I just know birth control made me sick as a dog.

I need people's experience with estrogen. I've heard that taking birth control with certain levels of estrogen can cause weight gain. I've also heard that having naturally low estrogen can cause weight gain. Does this not sound like a lose lose situation? My doctor today prescribed me a higher dose estrogen birth control pill due to my low levels of estrogen. I know many benefits that this will have on my body without getting a little TMI! But I am worried that it will also cause weight gain. Or perhaps I will luck out and balance my hormones and lose weight. I just don't know. I would love to hear someone who has had low estrogen and increased their estrogen through one way or another.
