I've got my fights tomorrow. Still gotta lose 3 pounds by tomorrow morning and I've already lost all the bloat. Might have to sweat a little water out on a jog tonight. Why did I pig out so bad over thanksgiving?

Once I get into my weight loss plan, I do Hung Gar style kung fu as well as Hsing-I. I find it helps cut down on food cravings and increases my energy. The only difficulty is making myself start again after I've fallen off my fitness program.

I've been doing Brazilian jiu jitsu the past 6 months and its been awesome. I'm fighting December 1st... Gonna suck having to make weight that soon after thanksgiving. I'm about 4 pounds over right now which would be perfect for the same day weigh ins, but I'll have to lose 8 extra pounds of thanksgiving bloat in about 6 days. Looks like nothing but grilled chicken and veggies that week :(

I've been doing krav maga for two months. The training is pretty intense, we usually do many pushups and run a lot before practicing the fighting moves. In spite of that, it gives me an awesome energy a few minutes after the end.

Tip: don't use this question as an opportunity to rip on different martial arts (MA) styles.

I do Taekwondo, but my instructor has experience with jiu-jitsu too and so we do locks, throws and ground work too.

My brother does old world Judo/Jiujitsu and have learned a lot from him too. I train with my kids too, which is great.

What's your experience? How has it helped you reach your goals on SP?
