Helping others helps me stay on top of weight gain. And fear of cancer keeps me on the right path to take better care of myself.

To stay motivated I keep pulling out clothes I have not worn in years. They are still in style but fit me. I also keep the "save the dates" postcards for 2 big events on the fridge. One is in May and the other in June.
I also tell people I am dieting and they are supportive. The more I talk about it the more motivated I stay

Knowing what I dont want to be again and not knowing what the next part is on this journey, I cant say I do structured exercise everyday but I am constantly moving about trying to get things done and not think so much . I recently set a challenge to myself and put it up on Spark streaks to track .. 60 minutes of exercise for 100 days ... Try that it might help you . emoticon

What keep me motivated taking one day at a time
And not beating myself up if one day does not go as well as the next
Our two dogs motivate me to walk them daily we have a jack russel and a boston terrier both 4 years old and if do not walk them they sit in front of me with sad eyes like they are saying are you forgetting something once walked they are very content to lay in their beds, play with their toys or chew on a rawhide
One day at a time

I know we aren't supposed to depend on it but the numbers on the scale do help me stay motivated. I also find getting into smaller clothes to be motivating. Basically, anything that shows I'm losing weight in a tangible manner. emoticon

I've also noticed, and had people comment on, that I'm getting around better than I was (I have some mobility issues) but I can't really say that it motivates me.

Knowing that I can keep this weight off this time....I don't have to be perfect, just keep trying and give it my best. Seeing the successes of those who are farther along in the journey helps so much!

I'm motivated when I combine working out with something I love - my horses! Whether it's doing groundwork (I get a lot of steps in there!), riding (great for my core), or forking out the stable (cardio and weightlifting combined) I see the literal results of my efforts in my well-trained horses. I learn new things so I can continue to train and improve my horses and myself. (Good for my mind.) But best of all, I enjoy time with my horses (good for me emotionally)!

I enjoy seeing the way my body looks and feels. This helps me stay motivate. I also have a great b/f that has started working hard at getting exercise along with me. So that helps, too. Its a matter of choice, and I choose to do better. Not perfect b/c I never will be, but better more often! Good luck!

Right now what keeps me motivated is the fact that I can feel my body slimming down. My 'cankles' are now ankles, and I can actually feel muscle in my arms and thighs. It's not just about look of course. I can jog, and aside from being fun, it's pretty intense exercise. It wasn't too long ago that I couldn't even jog a lap around the track without walking the curve and jogging the straight.

I'm also motivated of course by the fact that when I lose 17 more pounds, I'll have lost 100 total. That's going to be a big deal for me when I get to 230. I came so close last year, but 'life' got in the way. I think I was just burnt out because I had gone from 307 to 237 from January to August of last year. Now that I've had time to maintain it, and just enjoy how far I've come, I'm even more determined to get to my goal weight.

I don't have kids but I am thinking about that now. Whenever I have kids I don't want them to be embarassed by my weight or be seen with me and feel that way. I am glad you have a great support system and you have a great motivation.

This will sound crazy, but my daughter keeps me motivated because: When she went away to college, I didn't want to visit looking like the old, fat mom and embarrassing her. So, I started losing the weight for real.

I recently told her this. She laughed and told me that she had never been embarrassed by my weight. I must say that she has always noticed and supported my weight loss, and that this was ALL in my head.

I knew that it was all in my head when it originally popped in there. But I do want her to be proud of me.

Another stupid thing in my head. I know that she is proud of me, because she has told me that she is happy that she is like me. My brilliant, amazing, beautiful, talented daughter thinks that she is like me. Wow.

What keeps everyone motivated? I keep losing my motivation and I try so hard to stay on track which I have with my workouts. Usually after the 2 week I start skipping days but I have been going to the gym and exercising for 5 weeks now and if I miss a day I make it up. It's just so hard to stay on track.
