Light Balsamic Vinagrette is what I use now...but my true favorite is full fat Cesaer Parmesan! But I only use that once a month or if I burn more than 1000 calories that day. :-)

I don't like most store bought salad dressings. Olive oil and balsamic is better than anything!

I like to saute some onions, mushrooms, garlic, and celery in a tsp of olive oil and a splash of either red wine or balsamic vinegar and use that as a topping for a salad when I'm wanting something warm. It's pretty easy to pre-cook it the night before, package it separately from the greens, and nuke it for a minute the next day, too, if you want it at work.

If I want to keep it cold, then I like to use cottage cheese mixed with spices as my "dressing". Tastes great and it's an extra protein hit.

I generally go with the Newman's Own Sesame Viniagrette-- so good and flavorful!

I love the Walden Farms Chipotole Ranch, and I like to mix the Walden Farms Sweet Onion with Taco Bell hot sauce. Both are yummy and 0 calories. The Italian is good, too.

I make my own. red wine vinegar and oil.

Definitely any of the Naturally Fresh salad dressings. I love all of them. They're sold refrigerated so you won't find them with the other bottled dressings on the shelves.

For bottled dressing my go-to standard is Little Creek (probably too local/niche market for anyone outside my general area to know about, but, there's my plug for it anyways).

However, I usually just make my own. Good quality olive oil plus vinegar (cider, balsamic, red wine or white wine... i have all 4 kinds!) OR lemon juice, add a bit of dijon mustard, salt and pepper, voila - dressing. Add garlic or anchovy paste and a dash of tabasco - voila, caesar dressing.

I like Trader Joe's Balsamic Vinaigrette!! I don't go for the fat-free because the olive oil in this is good for you.

I love good season's Italian dressing. I make my own and put in half the oil (olive) that it calls for.

I use Ken's Steakhouse Lite Asian Sesame dressing 1 T = 35 calories and I mix it with Kikkoman Ponzu Sauce 1 T = 10 calories. Ponzu Sauce, fyi, is a soy sauce with a citrus flavor. I LOVE this combination, but if you're salt sensitive, this is not for you.

I love Annie's Goddess, but I also use a fat-free balsamic vinaigrette (I think the brand might be Old Cape Cod?) and love that for variety.

10/15/13 1:42 P

I need to branch off from my usual salad dressings. I only buy the Light House Zesty Italian dressing and the Annie's Goddess dressing.

What are your favorite salad dressings? (store bought or homemade)
