I often have 1/2 banana and a little yoghurt or drink with 50/50 milk/water

Grab 3 cups of air popped popcorn (no salt, no butter) under 100 calories...add a little cinnamon for flavor.

Yes, I agree that a carb and a protein together does promote better sleep as it steadies blood sugar, phytonutrients in apples can help you regulate your blood sugar. Cottage cheese also promotes sleep, cottage cheese is high in casein protein, casein digests more slowly than other types of protein so it is the perfect food to consume before bed.

Carrots with Ranch Dressing, a pear with 1 ounce of cheese, eggs...the nutrients are in the yolk of the egg. About 74 calories

Thanks for the info -- I'll definitely use suggestions. I especially like greek yogurt and eggs.
Stay well everyone!

I read somewhere (maybe here?) That the combination of protein and carbohydrates at bedtime helps promote sleep. So I allow calories for one glass ff milk and a Graham cracker in most evenings. My granddaughter even gave me my nickname "gram cracker".

I always keep hard boiled eggs at hand, and if I've reached my CALs for the day, I discard the yolk and just eat the whites. If I still have some left, I'll eat the yolk, too. Fruits of course .. cucumber with a little salt and pepper, possibly some vinegar and yogurt with berries. Those are all staples at my house! :)

My most difficult time is at night and I hate to go to bed hungry. What is filling but also nutritious and low cal?
