I think you will find that if you weigh yourself in a couple of days, that weight will be off. It could be either water-weight or, as usual in my case, food that is still being digested.

I know its easier said than done, but first off BREATH. You didn't gain that much, you slipped up a little, its ok. No one, NO ONE is perfect. You WILL get past this. Think about how great you will feel when you drop not only the 2.6 pounds but the next 5. Think how happy and proud you will be for not giving up. We all have those weekend when as the song goes" My Give a Dam* is Busted." Its ok. As others have said, get yourself back on track today, drink lots of water, and find a handful of good things about yourself. IE "my hair is killer today. My legs look a little leaner. Is that a collar bone I see." I don't care what it is but find something good about yourself. You are worth it, you are worth all the work that this takes. Your body is not a garbage can so from today on don't treat it as one. Good luck!!

When i first started dieting i had trouble losing any weight at all.. 2 months in and i didnt even lose a pound .... i got upset and went off my diet for two days (I ate tons of junk food). I weighed myself randomely and was down ten pounds! I know the weight loss was legit because i have kept going down for a while now. Don't give up because you will see progress when you least expect it. I lost that 10 pounds when i was about to give up and it gave me the motivation to keep going and try even harder.

Be gentle with yourself and turn over a new leaf. It is never too late to start again.
Shake yourself off and try to make better choices today. You cannot go back and "uneat" what you have ingested. All you can do is make healthy choices in the future.

start your morning with a good, balanced breakfast.
drink lots of water throughout the day. It will help you feel better.
Yes, it will make a difference because I am guessing those 2+ pounds are water weight. Unless you over ate by 7,000+ calories I don't think you really gained that much.
So, start out right, starting right now! Make good healthy choices and exercise.
You can do it!!!!

after a horrific weekend? I ate so much I feel awful this morning! Physically that is, I am up 2.6 pounds since last thursday! My head tells me that I need to just buckle down and focus this week and get back on track. The question is..... will it make a difference? I know the answer to my own question I guess I am looking for reassurance that I didn't ruin all my effort haha. So tell me.... have you ever had the worst eating weekend of your life and still lost weight at weigh in time?
