I'm not a fan of peanut butter and fruit - I tried apple, but it just tastes the same...but with peanut butter on - I didn't get a new taste if you get me!

I've never tried edamme (sp?) before - I don't think they are that popular in the UK yet, although I know you can buy them some places!

Today for my lunch snack I have lots of raw veggies chopped up (cucumber, pepper, tomato, mushroom, celery, broccoli) and then I added 10g of feta crumbled. Just a bit over 100kcal, but the feta really popped with the veg, it was beaut!

I really like clementines as a snack. Also the fat-free, no salt mini-pretzels.

I love snacking on edamame (young soybeans if you've never tried them). In Canada, you can buy it in the frozen food section and it comes in a little microwavable pouch. There are 3 servings in a pouch, so I just divide it up into containers for snacks on other days. You can sprinkle it with a little sea salt and pepper, if you like. If you like a crispy snack, you can toss the shelled edamame in a little olive oil and parmesan cheese and put it in the oven for about 15 minutes until it browns a bit. A 1/2 cup of edamame has 120 calories, 9 grams of fibre (fills you up for a while), 2.5 grams of fat, 11 grams of protein and 13 grams carbs.

My other favourite snack is an apple with a bit of peanut butter on it - my mom used to make it for my snack as a kid and I still love it!

I love a caramel rice cake with peanut butter on it. I also love small bag 100 calorie no fat microwave popcorn.

I love all these ideas!

I have popping corn in the cupboard, I sometimes forget it when I fancy some crisps...I should eat that instead! Do you just salt yours or add other flavours?

Yup cucumber crackers are would be really cool to see if you could dehydrate them haha, then they really would be crispy like a cracker - has anyone attempted this?

Almonds are my favourite nut - although I am naughty and I will eat more than I should so I tend to buy them in little packs as and when - they are not a part of my cupboard stock.

I make asian style broth soups with a bit of angel hair pasta in it, with tiny frozen veggies like sweetcorn and peas. If you boil your water, it will heat up your veggies and cook the pasta. I add flavourings like a stock cube, ginger, garlic, chilli, and cider vinegar for the hot and sour vibe.

Plain (or roasted, or roasted with a little salt) or a bit flavored (cinnamon or cocoa ... but not heavy on the sugar!) ... good fats, good amount of protein. Rather filling. I can measure them out in a little cup and on the scale ...

I use the celery for fillings a lot --- but didn't think about a cucumber slice as a "cracker" --- good one!

I like to make veggie based snacks too -- but if I'm craving something salty - I tend to go to the 100 cal. microwave popcorns. I also use the mini-bel and WW low cal cheese b/c they are individuals, portable and go with so many things. Love a cheese with some grapes. Love the fat free Lay chips with the cheese spread types. Love apples with cinnamon sprinkled on top. Clementines are so cute and good with a banana -- double fruit and gives me that island/paradise feeling!

For a chocolate craving, I keep the milk chocolate Hersheys chocolate chips on hand --- 1 T is only 70 caloris and I pretend they are the full size kisses and savor each and every one of them --- silly? yes --- works? you betcha!

I also use hot teas to fill me up and when I make the water extra hot, I have to sip and it lasts a long time. I do the same with low cal brothy soups --- and always add a little extra water to make it seem like a whole lot of soup.

I love making veggie a vegetable as a base like celery, cucumber or carrot, then load it with low fat soft/cottage cheese, a low fat dip or vegetable pate and then add a few drops of sauce like chilli, bbq, tomato anything really. Cucumber is best for this because all you have to do is slice and it looks like a little cracker! Celery is good to fill the middle with and carrot is my fave for when I fancy sweet and savory :)

I love my veggies :D

What are your super snacks - stuff that you can have plenty of minus the guilt? Give me some ideas :D
