I don't feel like it's weight loss if it's a yo-yo between 1 pound down, then 2 pounds up. I have had no consistency at all. I would like to lose 15 pounds.
I do not drink the shakes as an addition to my meal, only as a supplement. I'm continuing to push play and going to try really hard to be content with becoming healthy and strong and let go of the "ideal weight". Thank you all for your input!

Don't get discouraged. As you get closer to your goal, the slower the weight comes off. Keep up the hard work; you'll get there! emoticon emoticon

Dragonchilde has given you some good advice. How much weight are you trying to lose? If you're pretty close to your goal weight (within 20 pounds or so), 1/2-1 lb per week of weight loss is normal. It sounds like you're on the right track, especially if your clothes are also fitting better.

1-2 pounds is a normal, healthy average weight loss per week. You're performing right where expected. I think the problem here are your expectations, not so much your diet or your exercise routine. Give it time, and have more reasonable expectations, and you'll be fine. :)

Shakes are usually not going to give you any advantage over healthy diets. Certainly not if you're adding on top of your normal meals.

Two pounds depends on the week. Week to week it seems as if I am stuck and cannot completely eliminate these two small pounds.
My eating habits went from 2,500-2,800 calories and minimal water, to 1,500-1,800 and 96-120oz of water daily. I track every food I eat and exercise I complete on an app. I started drinking the shakeology in hopes of jump starting the weight loss and helping to keep me fuller longer. Maybe this isn't a plateau, but with as drastic of change as I've made, I would have expected more. My calories consist of dairy, (lots of) vegetables, a grapefruit a day, healthy carbs, and plenty of protein.

I'm not quite sure I'm understanding. You say that you've lost two pounds? That's not a plateau. A plateau is many weeks or months without ANY weight loss. If it's coming off, you're just not losing fast, not plateauing.

The less you have to lose, the slower it will come off.

Losing weight is about food, so are you tracking? Why are you drinking the shakes? Is that on top of the 1500-1800 calories per day?

Even if you eliminate junk, you may still be overeating. Are you weighing and measuring what you eat, and *accurately* tracking?

Not to mention, it's only been 5 weeks... it can take as much as 6-8 weeks for lifestyle changes to show up on the scale, especially when you add a new, challenging exercise routine to the mix. That can cause normal water retention, and temporarily slow or stall your weight loss. You may even see a slight upward shift. This is why:

I completed a round of P90X last spring and lost 20 pounds and 12". The weight and inches just kind of shed off of me. My spouse and I began P90X again, 5 weeks ago. We switched to P90X3 almost 3 weeks ago. I'm beyond frustrated. I would say that a 2 pound weight loss is a bit liberal depending on the day. I seem to have hit a plateau and can't break through. I have seen a very small change in the way my jeans fit, but nothing more. I eat between 1500-1800 calories a day and drink shakeology 4-6x per week. I don't drink it everyday due to the cost. My choices are mainly healthy, with the exception of an occasional weakness. Can anyone recommend a way to jump start some shedding of weight? Feeling so discouraged with all the time put into exercising and eliminating the crappy food to see such minute results so far. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!!
