That's an incorrect statement. Muscle is heavier by volume, or more dense, than fat. Muscle does not weigh more than fat, since 10 lbs. is 10 lbs.

Think of it this way, you have 5 pounds of feathers and 5 pounds of gold, 5 pounds of feathers takes up a hell of a lot more volume. Your body is making more gold and less feathers so you're able to fit more comfortably into your clothing. This is a very good thing.

I know this has been talked to death in the past, but I still can't seem to wrap my head around why my clothes are fitting much better, my waist is shrinking, but I'm still above 200lbs. I've heard the same old "muscle weighs more than fat" line, but I highly doubt I gained 10lbs of muscle this month.

Any ideas?
