ugh, I am one of those people who bought into it...hey I got a month free AND pills to give me more energy.

By the time it came in the mail, I had second thoughts (I ordered it at 2 am when I couldn't sleep - probably due to what I'd ate!). It's still sitting on my dresser....

And where am I....sitting here on Sparkpeople, doing it the right way.

If it swells in your stomach, wouldn't your stomach look larger and wouldn't it give you gas? People will think you are pregnant.

Saw it this morning. I just keep thinking Really? How bad could the side effects really be. Then I thought I better check with my spark friends. Those advertisers are really getting good. So we all know that the people selling the product only care about getting your money. I figure there had to be atleast 1 person on spark that tried it. I am guessing that the side effects on the out are about the same as alli.
I really watch a lot of commercials and play the game of "is it worth it or junk?" Penny auctions make me laugh more than the diet industry.
Just think if you were in the advertising industry and your job was to get the product so. You know it is junk but you are hired to make the ad.
It is an interesting world we live in.
I will be off to the gym after work.

never heard of it

Pills, teas, coffees, smoothies, blah, blah blah! Portion control of good natural satisfying food, combined with consistent exercise is working for me. I'm down 68 pounds and I know I will be able to lose twice that again because I know that is the best way for me to be my best self. People have told me how well some of those things work for them. But I know that anything that you use like that will doom you to failure. Even if you fool your body into losing weight it will come right back as soon as you put down whatever fad pill, powder, or tea you use. Living healthy is a lifestyle. Diets and diet products are just temporary fixes. emoticon

I also laugh, but then I feel bad for the people who actually buy into that stuff...

I know the commercial you are talking about. She's a hoot. You know just listening to her that that stuff is bad news!

Would never buy that junk. It doesn't help. It actually hinders weight loss. I am not sure if the lady on the commercial ever indicated that she used the pills. But any commercial that ever said i can't do something, never met me.

If it is the same blond lady I have seen she is a a fake, she got paid a whopping 50 bucks to do that commercial. She never had a weight issue, and she does not consume the product she is advertising. She is a lady wanting to be an actress. There are many of these people in commercials, they get paid 50 bucks give and take a little to do fraudulent commercials, many times the product is fake too, like one were capsules filled with hot cocoa which is filled with sugar and will make you gain weight. I seen this when they exposed it on 20/20. I never trust anyone on commercials not even the actresses because how do we know they did it with product they are advertising. When you are rich you can buy outer beauty, is it healthy no. I take me over fake anything.

I feel that every diet pill is supposed to be an easy way out, but those diet pills end up having the opposite desired effect every single time. I've tried many of them out of desperation, and look where I am. Plus-the side effects are pretty disgusting. Hmmm. Do things slowly and learn how to eat right, and refer to my doctor if I'm having issues...or take some diet pill and risk having oily, smelly butt discharge?
I'll take losing slowly and doing it right, thanks.

I find that commercial awful and turn the channel when it comes on.

I've seen the commercial and can't believe it's still on the air. So what if it keeps you full, I often overeat when I'm not hungry. I'm doing fine without it Thank You.

Oh dear. Well. Thank you Google, now i know. It is a "soluble fibre" called Glucomannan.... which "When it's mixed with water, it forms a thick and expansive goo in the digestive system. In this way, glucomannan is very much like a sponge, or the nutritional equivalent of those toys that can grow to 600 percent their original size. Glucomannan isn't quite that impressive, but it does swell to about 17 percent of its original size. The theory is that if the glucomannan has swelled in your stomach, you'll no longer be hungry. (

I mean... how would you ever learn portion control, if you kept your stomach stretched and bloated full all the time - as soon as you stop ingesting it, you go through the same "empty tummy" feelings. I'd rather just suck it up for a few days or a few weeks and get my body used to the feeling of "normal sized portions" (it really didn't take me very long at all!). I also don't want to feel too bloated to eat - I want to EAT AND ENJOY my food. This product does not seem conducive to enjoying my food or improving my relationship with it.

As for "you can't do it on your own, you just can't!" - false. I can and I am.

I don't know if anyone has seen the commercial for it but there is a lady on it who says and i quote "you know you just can't do it on your own, you can't!" It makes me giggle nearly every time I hear it because I feel like she probs never tried.
I feel like it's the easy way out
