look through some of the exercises they have on SP or youtube. Youtube has tons of kettlebell routines. Personally, i would not follow the slimfast plan. I don't follow SP either since they don't really have a diet plan for the way I eat, but I know that it works for many of the members on here. I don't follow the GOVT plate. I rarely if ever eat cooked food. So you can see that the plans here wouldn't work for me. What does SP say on your calorie count, etc? Turn on the meal plans to get an idea. You don't have to follow them to the letter. You can always substitute items. I don't think the walking sticks could be counted as strength training. The elliptical is pretty much cardio. With the bands you can get a loop from a sporting good store and put it in your door. I do pull ups, banded punches, and lots of other exercises. You can also use it to stretch. Again SP and Youtube will have options.
I haven't been tracking using sparkpeople. For the past week, I've been following slimfast 3-2-1 plan almost to the letter. I've started tracking on sparkpeople today. Plus, I've been using the elliptical without using the timer. I'll plug it in when I get on it today so that I can get an accurate count of calories out. The elliptical has what I call "walking sticks", arm bars that you can push against while walking. I've been considering that my weight training, but if you have some kettleball exercises you can recommend, I'll try that too. I have a kettleball somewhere...I know I have a resistance band, I saw it in my closet just two days ago. I just don't know what to do with it. Suggestions welcome.

How many calories are you consuming? What kinds of foods are you eating?
A lot of times, diet pills can mess with your metabolism and sort of screw it up.
You could have also hit a dreaded plateau.
Do you weight train, or just do the eliptical? I highly recommend added some resistance training to your workouts, it will really help build muscle and burn more calories. Kettlebells are awesome, if you want something fun and heart pounding!
I've been working on losing weight since december (well, this round anyway, you could say I've wanted to lose weight my whole life.) It began with the help of a prescription drug called phentermine, and my doctors instructions to walk at least 30 minutes a day. So I bought an elliptical and cut my calories. After awhile, I had some results, though they were slow, they were steady. However, the medication loses effectiveness after six months, and I had to go off it to start taking a medicine to fix digestive problems anyway. A couple of weeks later and I've gone from my smallest weight of 206.4 to my current weight, a whopping 209.8. Last week, when I weighed in at 209.2, I was aghast, and quickly cut all bad stuff from my diet. I have spent this week attempting to keep to half veggie, quarter protein, quarter starch plates. I have done 45 minutes on the elliptical every day. And the new med is working so I can't even blame a backup for the weight. Why isn't it working? Am I completely incapable of losing weight? Am I doomed to instantly gain weight until I am hopeless to ever get below 200? Please help me.
