JANKE1028, doesn't it feel so wonderful to be out of the loop for 36 days, come back, and feel great, feel exhilarated, feel successful, and, best of all, still feel FIT!

Spark On!

Being a runner myself I completely understand having to stop because of an injury. It's a complete let down. Way to stay with it though once you healed. Also such a good start. pretty soon you'll be back to that 12 miles a week! Way to go!

Well done on resuming running.

And you are smart to ease back into it gradually.

40 days ago, I was running 12 miles a week. 36 days days ago I twisted my ankle. I felt crushed, broken hearted. Yes, I had finally reached that point in my fitness goals where I needed to run. Had.

Today was the first day I attempted to jog week one of the couch to 5k program to ease back into running (60 sec jogging, 90sec walking for 20 min).

It was exhilarating! The hardest part was trying to run for only 60 short seconds. I expected today to be a failure. I expected pain in my ankle and to be winded from jogging. Instead, I felt great! I had this feeling like, "wow, I'm still a runner!"

Today was a victory for me.
