I like making egg mcmuffin with fruit, and yogurt with fresh fruit is also good!

I am one of those folks that gets totally bored with the traditional breakfast foods. I easily get tired of eggs and cold cereal. I dislike oatmeal and bagels. English muffins and pancakes are too carb loaded for my taste. Instead I normally eat a portion of dinner leftovers for breakfast. It always works for me and leaves me satisfied. I don't do it everyday. The days I don't eat dinner leftovers, I usually eat Laughing Cow Cheese (low-fat) spread over Melba Toast and a cup of 100 calorie Greek Yogurt for added protein.

Color outside the box and eat anything you want for breakfast. There is no hard-fast rule that states it MUST be eggs or cereal. Enjoy!

If you are craving McDonalds... you can make your own homemade Egg McMuffin. I made this for my son (and myself!) now and then and it totally fills that "junky breakfast" craving without being junk. Toasted english muffin, fried egg, one of those processed cheese slices (I keep a packet of extra thin something-or-other in the fridge solely for this purpose, as I dislike cheese slices in all other circumstances), and for the meat, either a piece of Canadian back bacon or even just some sliced deli ham, heated up briefly in the pan in which I cook the egg). It's like 300 calories of yummy.

Hear is something real quick,plus it fills you to the brim.

1 container of Fit & Active yogurt any flavor ( or Greek yogurt )
1 cup of water
1 cup of frozen fruit ( if I use blueberry yogurt I use blueberries same with strawberries I use strawberries )
1 cut up banana
Place all in bender & whirl away until smooth
if you want sprinkle cinnamon on top after poured in a tall glass. It is ice cold because of the frozen fruit.
I love this it s so so good!!!!!!!!!!!

most days I just eat a cut-up zucchini steamed with an egg. I love zucchini in the morning. Actually I love it all the time.

When I have time in the morning, I like to make a breakfast burrito with a low-calorie tortilla, a scrambled egg and maybe some extra egg white (I buy the cartons of 100% egg white), veggies like sauteed mushrooms, olives, and spinach or whatever you like, lowfat shredded cheese blend like Kraft mexican 2% fat cheese, put all the cooked ingredients in the tortilla and crisp it in a skillet, then serve with light sour cream and salsa.

You could make this process a lot faster by cooking a big batch of the innards and then just plopping it in a tortilla in the morning and either nuking it or quickly brown it in a skillet.

Cereal with something other than milk... like green drink or juice or tea. That's the most unusual thing I've eaten so far.

I'll eat salads for breakfast but my salads are more like "tossed sandwiches sans bread". They're filled with veggies and protein, and not a lot of "lettuce". I could never ever eat a boring, limp, sad, restaurant styled "house salad" for breakfast.

On sundays, I chop up every leftover vegetable in my fridge and throw them into a frying pan to make some sort of hash. Today's was sweet potatoes, baby potatoes, corn, red pepper, carrot, onion and swiss chard. I threw in 2 veggie burgers and sauteed everything until they were cooked through and a little crispy on the edges. Seasoned with any spices that strike my fancy. Today was: herbamare, lemon pepper, chili pepper, turmeric, nutritional yeast, montreal pepper, and a splash of lemon and ACV (to saute).

It makes a ton (today I needed 2 frying pans to get it all cooked) but then I have enough leftover to last me the week. It's good hot or cold, too.

I like a nice turkey sandwich with veggies, or PB&J/banana/honey.

Leftover mashed potatoes or casseroles (mmm shepherd's pie!!) makes a quick and delicious breakfast too.

Overnight oats- combines the best of both worlds, yogurt and oatmeal. Yum! I love it. There's all sorts of combos you can make. I just had key lime overnight oats yesterday. Just search online for overnight oats recipes.

Yogurt souffles

Baked oatmeal- I make a peanut butter cup one.

Cottage cheese and oat pancakes

PB and J yogurt parfait is one of my personal favs- Greek yogurt, fruit, unsweetened jam and natural crunchy peanut butter... you can add granola on top.

French toast- I make a to die for peanut butter and pumpkin filled french toast. All three of my kids and myself go crazy for it. You can use egg whites and whole grain bread.

I frequently eat leftovers for breakfast. I like a hot bowl of soup in the morning.

Maybe you could put scrambled eggs in pita bread or a whole wheat tortilla with some vegetables.

Wow that is very interesting I have NEVER thought of salad for breakfast before!

I have also not done smoothies before....I like the concept I guess I've always been afraid it would be too much hassle to drag out the blender and wash it afterwards. I think I really wanna try it though. Give me some good smoothie recipes you all use!

How about something like a turkey burger, or chicken breast sandwich?

I also will eat a salad in the mornings sometimes- Spinach and/or kale with all the normal salad stuff.

Or, you could make eggs in advanced (I bake my in a silicone muffin pan) and use those to make your own fast food breakfast sandwich. Using the same muffin pan, I will sometimes make mini fritattas with all the stuff I love but don't normally, like bacon or sausage, and include veggies, like bell peppers or broccoli.

Another thing I will do sometimes, though I have not in a while, is eat chicken curry for breakfast. Full of fiber and protein, it keeps me full. Plus, it is full of flavor and I make mine spicy.

Have you thought about getting up a few minutes earlier and making a healthy version of a McDonald's breakfast? Easy enough to do!

Preparing a bowl of fresh fruit salad the night before, and adding some yogurt and perhaps some flax seed, wheatgerm or oat bran (or all of them) when you are ready to eat it would be a change. Have you thought about turning the fruits etc. into a smoothie? Have you thought about little serves of each and having them as a 3 course breakfast.

Well I never thought it would happen but I'm finally getting to the point where my breakfasts are BORING! I had really been enjoying my oatmeal or eggs or wheat bread with almond butter.....I find myself craving McDonald's breakfast more and more lately...uh uh, not a good sign! time to change things up! I guess it doesn't necessarily have to be "unusual" I just need something new and different that would be not too hard to fix (hopefully in under 5 minutes or so!)
