I agree, finding something else that is low impact would be better for you so you don't cause any further issues with your knees. Walking, the elliptical, swimming, and cycling are all good forms of cardio that are low or no impact. For strength training, you may want to check out this article with exercises that help decrease knee pain:

Yes, you are right. I am seeing the logic in not continuing on with the plan as written.
I'm going to go back to some workouts I know are ok for me while I look around.

Though I'm not an expert on exercise, pain is a warning: stop!

there must be other programs that are low impact on your knees!

pilates even yoga all have a low impact exercise plan.

I've had knee surgery, at this time I say don't play with it.
When you've lost more weight, the knee situation may improve!!! Mine did.

Hi, I am new here. I haven't posted before. I am starting week 2 of one of Fitness Blender's 8-week program. I am pretty out of shape and haven't worked out in a long time. I don't want to quite, but I'm wondering if I should stop and try something else.
I have arthritis in my knees and water on the knee. I'm only 37 but have had that for a while.
I'm finding the workouts so far hard on my knees, a lot of jumping jacks, etc. Some of the workouts are HIIT. Does this sound like a bad fit for a beginner.

I am 5'3", 160 (lost 2 pounds from week one) and really want to shed weight and tone up.
