It may be time to seek a podiatrist's opinion. My toes twitch/bend involuntarily and I have to reach down and "correct" them by cracking them, as much as that may seem like an overshare. This condition is referred to as hammer claw but may have other names. There are special socks that foot doctors recommend that basically separate your toes. They are typically worn at night. This feels more like a cramp than a twitch, however.

Err... I don't think that's a normal reaction to exercise, although my knowledge is not exhaustive. Might be something you'll want to bring up with your doctor, though.

The other day I was doing an inner thigh workout. One of the exercises was the ground based single leg lift. While lifting my top leg, my toes wouldn't stop twitching. Is this a sign that I'm doing something wrong or is it normal? Thanks!
