I like where I am, I love where I have been. But, yes, it flew by.

to me, it is just a number. When my father turned 50,he had a breakdown. He wanted to end it all. I promised myself that I would not do that. When I turned 50,I didn't feel any different than I had the day before. That was 7 years ago. Still feel the same.

There is an old saw that says you are only as old as you feel. Now I wonder how I got to 104 so soon.

Seriously, I will be 78 in a few weeks and the other day I was driving home and a huge wave of not remorse or depression but wonderment came over me. It was overpowering and it simply asking myself ... How did I get here so darn soon.

My age doesn't bother me,,it's my memory. Having to think how old I am because times flies makes me feel older.

I always have a problem remembering how old I am. I don't think about it because I don't connect age with oldness. I know many freak out when they hit the 50 mark (or some other point) but I just don't think about it. You are what you feel and some days I feel 20 and others I feel 80 so what does the actual one really mean anyway?!

Hehe Amarantha makes a good point!

I am only 32 and yet I feel as if I am quite old even though I know that I'm not. I lived a bit too much in my 20s. Moved too many times, lived in too many countries, had too many different jobs, relationships, etc. Now I feel like I should retire LOL. My husband is 35 but he looks 25. So sometimes that alone makes me feel older! I don't have to do the math on my age exactly, but I do have to think for a second to remember what it is!

No spring chicken but I like my age, beats the alternative.

61 chronologically, 95 physically, and about 15 inside.

It gets confusing.

I posted this link on another thread a couple of days ago, but it's worth seeing. It's a beautiful video that's worth watching once or twice a year if not more.

I don't forget it (54) but I kind of enjoy it now. When I turned 40 I lied about it. Now, its fun. I'm appreciative for all the blessings I have.

yes, it is on the fast track.... even more reasons to not waste any of it!! I was diagnosed with MS 25 years ago & with all of the struggles and trials I have to admit there have been times when I didn't think I would have made it to the following birthday, so, I celebrate every single year! 50 and proud of it!!

I will turn 49 in November. I still feel like I did when I was 16 (mentally....not so much physically, but I am getting there!) emoticon

I find it hard to believe I am 54. It sounds so old and I will admit that I want to hang on to my "youth" as long as I can. Because my daughter lives in Boston, I changed my profile picture back to the one you see here. I will admit even I don't think I look like a woman in her 50's in this picture.

Yes time does fly by as I am having fun in this life! I am the baby of my family and will be 50 years this December but had a great feeling when renewing my license and the clerk asked for proof I was as old as I was.....very flattering for me!

I just turned 58, how did I get here? I enjoy it though, less time worrying about what others think. I don't worry too much about the time flying, busy days go by fast and I like to keep busy.

I'm 66, but we get asked our age so seldomly, usually at the doctor or something, that I have to ponder for a moment, just don't think about it, and not looking to get a cake and a party with balloons anymore, lol.
My mother turned 100 in February, now THAT is a number to remember!!

My husband and I are the same age (34) but in the past two years I continuously have to ask him "how old are we" or do the math. I realize more and more that age doesn't matter, nor do I care about it. Probably because time flies by so fast!

oh too. I just don't think about it. When somebody asks, I always have to do the math.

sometimes I look in the mirror and think "I look so OLD!"

Lol! I am having that same problem. I will be 49 two months from today. I have been having to stop and think about how old I am when I am asked for about the past two years.

It flies by so fast I forget my age sometimes. I have to think about it for a second because when I finally remember what age I am, it is time for a new number. I will be 46 come July.
