So, The Walking Dead is really the first time I have followed a zombie type show. I agree with the statement below that says this show is so much more than just a zombie show. I enjoy the challenge of how people move forward when every rule of life seems to have changed. Its interesting to watch different characters working through the moral and ethical decisions that they encounter daily. To me that is what makes this such a special series. But I have to admit, I am struggling to understand some things about zombies. So I thought I would throw out some of my questions regarding them to this forum and see what others think. One of my biggest questions is if a zombie eats to the volume that it seems they are driven to, i.e. even to the extent of what appears to be entire bodies at times, where does that go. Seems to me like all zombies should need to join the Spark People team as they are certainly over eating in general at these times. Not to mention, if their bodies are really not live tissue anymore, i can only assume that they do not have digestive enzymes or any gastrointestinal motility so .....where does it go? And while they seem to wander slowly around a lot, they are certainly not doing enough cardio work to burn it back off! :) So what's the scoop, does anybody know what the explanation is for this?

I love The Walking Dead...although I must wait for each season to come out on Netflix. I've caught up to this current season and can hardly wait for it to appear on Netflix. An excellant show!
Now I won't read any further in this thread, lest someone becomes a spoiler!

I love it. It's a heavensent for a zombie movie buff like me. Hope Darryl makes it out alive. I love him! Can't see them killing off the best character on the show.

This looooong season break was way tooooo long! We can't wait for it to come back!!!
I think these mid season breaks almost make it where people will lose interest, I hope this isn't going to happen to all shows all years.

I made like several gallons of vegetable soup yesterday. I spent hours cutting, slicing, roasting, dicing, and stirring vegetables. I've never done that before. It was fun?
Then I watched Walking Dead later that night.
I had nightmares (not really nightmares, just some sort of anxiety producing dreams from overstimulation from thinking about the mysteries and question marks, LOST used to do this to me too) about zombies and vegetables. I can't say exactly what was going on, but I know it involved zombies (that I wasn't afraid of) and not being able to get "enough" vegetables.
Seriously. It was very strange. Even odder, that never in my life would I have ever thought I'd be dreaming about needing more vegetables.

I'm a big Stephen King fan and I think that is what had me hooked from the first show. It reminded me of his style. I agree, this isn't your run of the mill "zombie" show. Besides it is pretty popular these days, summer 2013 brings us World War Z movie with Brad Pitt. Looks awesome!
Also, the folks who say they don't watch shows with "zombies" totally miss the point of The Walking Dead, the storylines are better than anything on TV today including NBC's Revolution (which is another favorite of mine).
