Hi guys! So I was wondering if any of you deals with talotarsal dislocation/displacement? It's a common ankle/foot problem that can cause overpronation, flat feet, plantar fasciitis, bunions, as well as problems in the knees and hips. Some people don't have any pain or problems with it, but others, like me, can barely walk after spending a couple hours on their feet.

There is surgery for it -- the doctor wedges a bit of metal into the part of the ankle where the top of the foot and the leg meet -- but I don't have the money for that, so I'm using these hoopdy ankle braces and arch supports the podiatrist gave me. Unfortunately, they don't really fit into any of my shoes, but I make do.

I just wanted to know if any of you is trying to run/walk/jog for exercise with this condition and how you prevent injury/pain/strain related to it. For example, I'm doing the c25k running program. I'm on week two, and now I've jammed my knee. emoticon Anyhow, I'm staying off it until it feels better.

I try to do a number of stretches to keep my ankles and feet flexible, but they don't help with everything. What do you do? Any input? Do you also have tenosynovitis?
