I totally agree with the previous post by MLAN.
I myself was physically limited for 6 weeks in Jan-Feb of this year following a major surgery.
What I could do however, is be mindful of my eating and once I was able I made sure to get in a walk every day. Oh I remember the first one, I barely made it around the block. Anyways, the 6 weeks will fly by quickly and if you follow your doctors orders, you'll be back to full strength shortly following your release.

Also, remember a healthy lifestyle is 80% nutrition and 20% exercise. So, you maybe are limited in how much you can move or lift but you can make sure you're making wise choices for food.

I understand your pain. I had back surgery last summer and had a 2 pound weight limit for 8 weeks. I found out my water bottle weighs more than 2 pounds. I walked hundreds of laps around my house since it was literally the only thing I could do other than sit and lay. I don't think I moved faster than a snail for about a month, and then slowly started being able to move faster.
As hard as it is, just follow instructions so things don't get worse and do what you can. Once you're allowed to start moving again go slowly when increasing your activity level again or you may risk injuring yourself. Feel free to pm me if you'd like to talk more. I haven't had your specific type of surgery, but I definitely understand limitations and the frustrations that go with it.

Heal first! Worry about exercise later!

You don't want to risk having troubles later because you pushed yourself too hard when you should have been healing.

Needed to vent! Was on a roll and seeing success. Had surgery for my Crohn's Disease and now have limitations. No cardio for 4-6 weeks & can't lift more then 10 lbs. Told myself today that I will focus on recovery and work my upper body and keep moving as much as I can!
