It's a great show. I love it! I exposures a variety of reasons for why people under eat or over eat and highlights the health consequences of both. I would love to see the show expanded to other countries.

I remember watching the show once. It was an interesting approach.

Recently I came across this British TV program called "Supersize vs. Superskinny," which covers dieting and extreme eating lifestyles. What really intrigued me about this show was the fact that each episode revolves around two people, one overweight and one underweight. They stay for up to a week in a house dubbed "The Feeding Clinic," and under the supervision of Dr. Christian Jessen, they swap diets. Each day they prepare their usual meals, but once they sit down at the table across from each other, they swap plates. The point is that each participant is forced to watch the other struggle with their unhealthy portions, serving as a reality check for them and encourages them to change their eating habits and lifestyles. At the end of the swap they go home for 3 months with specially tailored meal plans and return to the clinic to see their results, which are always very successful.

It amazes me how in a matter of a few days these people are able to change their lives, kick old habits, and of course, start to take steps to better their health. As I watch the show I can't help but think that maybe Americans would benefit from this sort of thing - not necessarily in the form of a television program - but the whole concept of a diet swap between two people on opposite ends of the scale.

What do you think?

In case I didn't give that adequate of an explanation of the show, I recommend you watch for yourself. I myself watch the full episodes on YouTube. I'm not entirely sure if the show airs at all in the U.S., but I'm sure there are other places online that you can find it.
