The only real outside sign of my diabetes was I would feel nauseous when I ate a lot of sugar. Anything that raised my blood sugars quickly. Sugar just does that quicker than most things.

All the other signs I didn;t get till I started having low blood sugars.

If this is a recurring symptom, and not caused by being overfull, then you might want to check it out with a doctor. Hopefully it was just enjoying Easter too much, and won't happen again.

If this persists... check with your doctor. While reactions to food you formerly enjoyed are not uncommon, long-term nausea shouldn't be, I wouldn't think.

I would suggest crackers, water, or maybe just chew on some actual ginger. Tastes terrible, but it'll help. ;)

So it's been quite the Easter weekend...I definitely made some bad choices, but the house is almost back to normal and I will start afresh tomorrow.

I've been nauseous on and off since Saturday morning (enough so that I checked to see if I was pregnant today! I'm not) and I realized part of the way through today that the nausea hit every time I had sugar - for example, the ginger ale I bought to *help* was not helping, apparently because of the HFCS in it, if my theory is right.

Has anyone else had this happen to them? I've been eating much better for the last month and a half with occasional treats rather than full out candy pigouts, so I think my body was getting used to less sugar and maybe this weekend was too much for it. Crazy or not crazy?
