I turned 65 this year and retired this past summer. Retirement and all that went with it, i.e. moving to a new town, buying a home, selling a home, quitting work ... it really hit me hard. I'm an emotional eater, so the pounds just piled on. I'm ready now to get serious about weight loss. It really is easier now that I have more control of food and can cook healthy meals. I will meet my goal -- for life!

I will be turning 60 this fall! I can't believe how fast the time goes. I want to enter retirement at a decent weight and am hoping to lose nearly 100 pounds also.

Hi this is Cindy and on May 28th I will be turning 50. No other birthday has seemed as significant to me as this one. I find myself at this point of my life with 100 pounds to lose
a now grown son and looking into really getting set for retirement in the next decade or two.
It seems strange but this time I really feel invigorated and ready to meet these challenges. I am new to the Spark People community and this is by far the most motivating program I have encountered . So grateful to be here! Cindy
