I have a droid and I went ahead and paid $3.99 for the SP App. I like it in connection with the SP website. The App is definately lacking in the food database, but so is SP website. I come to SP because the website overall is the best out there....if it were strictly for the food database, I wouldn't be on SP. If you love SP and you are on the website, then go ahead and pay the $ and download the SP will help keep you on track...especially when you see the App icon on your phone.

I paid for the app but was disappointed that I could not add in my blood sugars like I can on the computer version as this is one reason I use the app is to help control my diabetes.

I believe the charge is $3.99. My Fitness Pal is free.

I changed phone and I "lost" the free app. I bought the new one, it's worth the price, I wouldn't be able to track as well without it - and this version is better than the old one.

I'll check it out!
If all else fails I can open it in the browser on my phone (or suck it up and pay for it)

Scroll through the "Site and technical help" forum. There is a way to restore it if you had the free version, but I think it has to be on the same platform. (In other words, if you downloaded it free for Android, you can restore it to another Android phone, but not to an iPhone because it's actually a different product-- just like you have to buy Microsoft Office all over again if you had a Mac and switch to PC.) It's worth looking through the forum, though.

We made some changes and upgrades to our app recently, and there is now a $3.99 charge for it.

I have to pay to download the ap to my phone, I didn't have to when I downloaded it a few years ago. I'm guessing sparkpeople is charging me as I still have the same carrier. I did, however, change from a smart phone to an iPhone, maybe the ap is only free on smart phones?

I am not sure. I have been a member for several years.

Is Sparkpeople wanting to charge you or your phone carrier?

Does anyone know if you can download the sparkpeople ap for free anymore? I had it on my old phone but now that I have a new one it seems that to download it on my iPhone it costs 4$

Thanks so much!
