Yeah, I think we all have days like this. Sometimes it's just my lazy kicking in for one more round of "I don't wanna!", but sometimes it's truly my body saying "I simply can't."

Over time, I've gotten pretty good at being able to tell the difference, and I respect the "I simply can't" when I need to. Every time I do, I'm able to ratchet up my exercise the next day. I just needed rest.

Everyone has off days. Getting back up and out there the next day is what is important.

today is one of those days! tired, drained and just want to sleep! I know that my energy will return later, but in the meantime will do what i feel i can on the exercise front. no pressure. emoticon

Yep. Usually when I can't find my rhythm, I end up just doing some walking on an incline to get my heart rate up, but nothing too strenuous.

Sure do and on those days I listen to my body and I take it easy. Sometimes my head isn't in the game and that is okay.

some days suck, but it doens't matter, because it makes the totally awesome runs even more awesome.

Sounds like it's time to take a break. I eat well and workout during the week - get my carbs from veggies for the most part. Then on Saturdays I go nuts - pastry for brekkie, pizza, icecream, fries and beer! :) I got down to my goal weight having a cheat day, a LOT easier than when I just 'kept at it'. I also took some time off from working out, no more 40min cardio sessions at the gym for me - and when I got back into it I changed it up to high intensity interval training. I do 18 mins of sweating and crying almost every day, and that's it. In front of my computer, or wherever I can do it. Give yourself a break I reckon.

Yep, once in awhile everything will seem way harder than it did a day or two before.

Ugh. I tried to run today, but I was just way too exhausted to do it. I went to the gym, did a little strength, and went on a treadmill for the first time since June (I've been running outside mostly) and the treadmill just... felt weird and I couldn't get in the zone. I did a few blocks of jogging on the way home. Does anyone else have those days that it doesn't matter what they've done before their body just won't cooperate?
