Hi and welcome. So glad you are here to make a change! Get familiar with everything here and join some teams. Teams are good for motivation, support and accountability. Use the search team search bar and put in things like interests/hobbies or try putting in the first number of your age followed by a 0 and the word something. Example - "30 something", good luck on your journey. Good luck on your journey

For the past 2 years, I've been focused on my career. Working 50-60 hours per week, away from home a minimum of 4 days a week, in a very demanding job. Almost every moment not at work has been spent sleeping or just trying to recover.

Well no more. I'm changing jobs. I'm going to work to live, not live to work. I thought I was doing the right thing by seeking financial and job security, doing the right thing by being disciplined and driven and focused on excellence, doing the right thing by doing anything and everything my job called for. Those are all good and important things, and I'm proud of what I've accomplished. But I've neglected my inner life, my body, my relationships. My family misses me. Enough is enough.

So here I am at Spark People, getting ready to find a happier, healthier, more joyous life.
