Thank you all for your kind words. Yes, I did cave and had some. I figured as long as I tracked it and acknowledged I was just starting out, it couldn't hurt to stay in reasonable portion sized.

I've been on my strict diet for almost a month now and it seems as if my mom has been making goodies and bringing home goodies almost every single week. It is really really hard to say no, but almost every single time I do. I did cave in one single time though because she made a pumpkin roll. You just gotta have the most self control you possibly can. It's really really hard sometimes, but in the end you know it will all be worth it in a few months anyway(:
But, it is OKAY for you to cheat every once in a while. In fact, I believe people should. If you are on a strict diet for too long, I know I wouldn't be able to handle a cheat every once in a while. BUT you have to make sure it's not too big of a cheat. I have one cheat day a week. Alot of people don't have a cheat day, but I feel like it's good to have one if you are careful because if you're like me, if you eat a bowl of ice cream or whatever it is, I get it out of my system right away and then it's not so hard to something super yummy and fattening comes into the house again.
Good luck! I know it's really hard, but self- control is the key.

From your nutrition tracker, it looks like you had some Domino's (and I feel like a creeper for looking, hah).

But yay! You tracked it, meaning that you're making it part of your tracked calories for the day. You ate in moderation, and it fit within your calories allotted for the day. As long as you have a sensible dinner and don't go over board with other snacks, you're still going to have a great day!

And when you track your foods and are able to eat something like Domino's as part of your regular caloric intake, it's not caving or cheating or any of the other words that we associate with low will power or weakness. It's a simple choice that you made to use some of your daily calories on that particular treat. Nothing wrong with that at all :)

Do you already have your own lunch planned ? If so, ask your sister to eat the pizza in another room.

Now, if she ordered pizza for the both of you, no one says you can't have a piece of pizza. A slice of pizza, brownie, soda, candy, etc... CAN all be a part of a healthy diet as long as you are mindful of the portion.

Why not have one or two small slices. But, have them with a BIG green leafy salad. Sit and savor the slice. don't inhale it like a Hoover. Take your time to taste the flavor. One thing I've found is that the faster someone eats, the more likely they want more food because they didn't have a chance to actually taste the food.

So, if you haven't had pizza in a long time, it is okay to have a small slice. If you already have your lunch planned, then have your lunch and skip the pizza.

It's just a pizza. You're not a bad person if you have a slice and you're not a saint if you don't.
