One reporter said we prefer to spend our money on football instead of salt and plows. So...we did not have enough for side streets and had to bring in plows from the panhandle.

Thank goodness the ice and snow are gone. We will be in the 60's this weekend and 70's by mid-week. what we are used to.

We are used to snow, but we usually don't have just one snow after another. I do feel sorry for folks who do not have equipment and tools to deal with the issues that this snow and ice brings. Also, a lot of folks do not know how to drive in these conditions. Makes it tough -- but remember spring is coming.

Yup, snowed in again. Schools are closed, offices are closed. News man says stay home and off the roads. Personally, I am taking advantage of the quiet at the office to get stuff done! emoticon

I feel truly sorry for those of you not used to the snow and ice. Where I am from, it is just part of our winter season, meaning, we have the equipment for roads, furnaces that meet our needs, and warm coats, multiple pairs of mittens and a hood or hat with matching boots.

I am in Arlington, TX and we NEVER get this much ice and snow! I am ready for my regular TX weather and my routines. Thankfully I was able to make good use of my time off these past two weeks.

West Texas! We didn't get that much snow - what caught us off guard was the ice. We have a 2" layer of ice with 5" of snow on top. We've been at a standstill since Tuesday, but the sun is shining to day and we're moving again!

I teach and have loved my 3 snow days!!

Good luck with your exercise. We've had a lot of ice/snow lately too and I'm finding it very hard to keep from overeating.

Today the clinic I worked at opened at noon, but we are without a doctor. Here in NE Oklahoma as with so many places we are just covered with snow, today was my first time out since Monday and my husband brought me to work in his 4 wheel drive work unit. So many people are still stuck and snowed in.

We've gotten so much snow here in NJ since December, that I've forgotten what dirt looks like! And if you think I'm kidding, take a look at this:

Winter always makes me hungrier than usual, too! I hope the groundhog was right in predicting an early Spring - I am more than ready!

Here in Oklahoma, we have not had mail delivered to our house since Monday. It will probably be next week before the mailman can get to our mailbox.

Stay warm!

We were supposed to have a foot or more, but the storm ran out of steam! Fine by me!

14" here. When I looked out the window this morning our driveway & road were already plowed. All John had to do was up by the garage & the decks & the roof because we have 2 roof leaks. It was sunny most of the afternoon. All the county & city govs. were closed. The newspaper & mail made it thru.

12" here in southern Michigan. More both north and south of us. Very windy so drifting. My neighbor plowed my driveway but nowhere to go. Most everything is closed for the day. Enjoying the computer, quilting & reading.

So far not as bad as predicted. The deck and walkway need to be done again. Hope it doesn't turn to freezing wet stuff

We don't have nearly the snow other states have (PA) but I still feel that I have to stay in. Of course I fall back onthe things my mother did when we were snowed in at home...bake and cook. Then comes

We are not snowed in in Colorado but it is bitter cold. Way below zero. Right now it is -6 but it was -15 yesterday but wind chill made it even colder. Luckily I do not have to go out in it! We are getting our share of snow but doesn't seem like it is near what other states are getting so we are grateful!

I LOVE snow days!

Exercise can be getting outside and shoveling for a while... or build a snowman!

We have 21" of snow in Oklahoma. Our house is 500' from the road, so we will be housebound for some time. Guess I need to get up and do my exercises. Hard not to eat more when you have so much time on your hand.
