When I worked in a cafe we would make a big jug of smoothies in the morning and it was fine. Just give it a stir before pouring as it can separate.

I think freezing it then thawing it later on might be better. I guess it depends. If you use ice in yours, I would say no fridge because I think it would just get watered down.

I don't think it will lose its flavor or go bad if you're going to drink it the same day. However, the consistency might be a little weird, especially w/ fresh fruits and veggies in there, it will kind of start to seperate. If I were you, I would do one of 2 things. I would either...
A- Make 3 servings of the smoothies. Drink one now, and pour the other two into ice cube trays. That way when you wanna drink them later, you just pop the cubes out and blend them again. Or...
B- Prep individual smoothie servings ahead of time. So let's say you're making 3 days worth of smoothies. Get out and chop up all of the ingredients to make 9 of them, and divide everything equally into 9 ziplock bags. Then you won't have to deal with chopping and blending each day.
Of course, one could argue that a fruit or veggie starts to lose nutritional value once it is peeled, chopped, cooked, etc. However, your main concern here is the calories, not every vitamin and mineral. So I say do what works for you!

Hi biologybride. It is okay to make multiple servings at once if you are making smoothies. Depending on what you put in the smoothies, sometimes the smoothies thicken up towards the end of the day, though or the taste may be different than a fresh made smoothie. Hope this helps. :)
gramcracker - I alternate between carrots and pretzels (which you have to eat 53 for 100 calories!). I feel satisfied in my hunger and that's where it worries me. I know I shouldn't be feeling that full on 900 calories.
Hopefully I can add some peanut butter and/or whey protein to my smoothies.
I want to fill my calories, but I don't want to eat junk to reach it.
I'm just curious...what do you spread the hummus on? I use carrot or pepper strips or broccoli etc. For more calories use crackers or pita chips. I am thinking you need more veggies but they won't add lots of calories.
So, I'm having some trouble getting my calories up. It seems as if I've been hovering around 900-1100, when I want 1700. I've been eating tons and tons of hummus. I'm addicted! But, I don't get too many fruits and veggies. I've had green smoothies before and enjoyed them, so I figure that's a great way to up my calories with healthy stuff and get more fruits and veggies into my diet.
My question is, is it okay to make 3 servings at once and keep it in the fridge? I wasn't sure if the smoothie somehow lost flavor or goes bad after a short about of time
