Thanks for the response NanleyKW! I kinda figured there wasn't much I could do, but thought I would ask. And you are right, I would rather have extra skin than extra weight!

LADYK, it's probably unavoidable, although the slower you lose the weight, the less loose skin you will probably end up with. (It's mostly about genetics, though.) It may shrink with the rest of you, but it may not. (And it may shrink more slowly than the rest of you; I think I read somewhere that it can take up to two years after losing the weight for the skin to "catch up.") Other than that, there's nothing you can do about it. No exercises will make a difference. The good news is that loose skin is much healthier than extra weight! Congrats on your weight loss so far! :)

So..I am down 28lbs and just estatic about it! But..I am worried as I lose more weight about having lose skin, particularly on my belly. Is this avoidable? Will it shrink with the rest of me? Is there anything I can do?
