Most of us have had moments where we fall off the wagon so to speak but that doesn't mean we have to stay off. You may want to start by focusing on making just one or two positive changes in your healthy living journey, whether that is drinking your water or eating 5 veggies/fruits a day.
I like to think of these moments not so much as a setback but as a learning experience. What I like to call, "the why we do, what we do, when we do it" scenario. And reading from your post it sounds like you understand and in doing so, you can then develop a plan to get back on track.

So I did super well this whole summer...I lost 25 pounds in about four months. But about two weeks ago, I got totally thrown off my routine. I just started a new job, my parents came to visit, I was in a local theater production that was putting on performances the whole week (which included four hour rehearsals a day leading up to it), trying to juggle school, and the list goes on.
I also have a bad knee, and since it's transitioning into fall, the weather has been setting it off. When I'm in pain, I tend to overeat. And lately I've been in a lot of pain.
That said, I kind of lost control and haven't been able to get back into my routine and have gained almost 5 pounds in the last 12 days. I keep telling myself that's not a huge deal. But it's still a setback and still super discouraging.
What's even worse is that I'm getting surgery on my knee in 2 days, so it's not like I can just get back up on the treadmill and work it off. I'm meeting with a personal trainer tomorrow to get some sort of regimen going for post-surgery, so hopefully that'll help.
All that to say...I can't be the only one...right? Everybody gets set backs, right? Or am I the only one who lies in bed at night telling myself that I can only drink water the next day to get back on track...or feeling like crap because I was doing so well for so long and then all the sudden the scale started tipping the other way.
