No, I will stay away from commercial diet products that try to replace willpower and insensible eating habits.. Waste of money.

I'm a skeptic, skinflint, econ grad, with a thing for statistics and a penchant to revere Freakonomics and similar filters through which to view life.

Here's how I see Sensa.

-I'm skeptical that all you have to do is shake something on 'regular' food and you'll lose weight. Nothing's ever that easy.
-Why spend money on it? There's free ways to achieve similar results.

-It may or may not really work scientifically. But, one thing we do know, even if there's 'science' behind it, statistically, it will not work for everyone.

There is a method that works for everyone. It's a very simple mathmatical formula. Burn more calories than you eat. Even better, it's free. Guaranteed 100% to work. We just don't like that option because it's "hard". Shaking some powder onto pizza and french fries sounds like a way better time than hitting the treadmill and eating vegetables. And we're willing to shell out cash like there's no tomorrow on the off chance it will work.

Not for me.

Honestly, it's just an expensive gimmick like any other weight loss "miracle" pill. My husband tried it and claimed it worked but he only did it inconsistently like any other time he's tried to lose weight. He got the 1st two months at Costco. Lets just say they only carry those two months and nothing more.

Okay, I know this is SO gross, but when my shih-tzu was a puppy, he had a terrible habit of eating his own poop (I know, I told you it was gross). Anyway, the vet had us sprinkle accent (msg seasoning) on it. He said that would make it less appealing. (if you're wondering, how to make something LESS appealing to something that would eat poop in the first place, I'm right there with you)!!

Anyway, that is what Sensa always reminds me of when I see them sprinkling it on foods in the commercial emoticon

I don't know what's in it, but it seems suspect to me.

the girl that lost 120 didn't change her diet for a year and went from eating 4 slices of pizza to 1 1/2 slices and she said the last 10 months is when she started exercising cause she felt small enough and motivated to do so... it's like anything if your dedicated you can lose the weight...
I didn't like the way the doctor kept stuttering when dr oz asked questions... especially when he said it was flavored by strawberries and dr oz said so y don't u just put that the natural flavor is strawberries instead of GAR.....
I think doing it the old fashion way is the best way , maybe a protein shake to make up for a meal here and there.....

I want to know what is in it that will make you supposedly eat less. I also wonder what will happen if you stop using it. Will you go back to your old habits?

I saw the Sensa program too. From what I heard, for some, it could take up to 2 months to start working. The young lady who lost over 100 pounds had been on it for 10 months. I want to know what happens when you stop taking it.

Never tried it and never watched Dr Oz, and never will.

I tried it a couple of years ago and, for me, it did nothing. It does seem to work for a lot of people, though.

Has anyone tried Sensa? I saw it on Dr. Oz. Does it really make you eat less? Any side effects?
