While I don't necessarily think running 'causes' arthritis, I don't think it's a good idea for everybody. I already have bad knees, and running only makes them worse. So, because of that, I choose to find my cardio in other forms. And I'll admit, sometimes I do feel judged by runners for choosing not to. Like I must not exercise at all, if I don't run. But overall, I say to each his own. If running feels good for you, go for it! If it bothers your body, find something else.

Someone I know recently told me that she chooses to use a stepmill in the gym instead of running outside, because (1) running is too "low impact" for her, and (2) running hurts one's joints.
Talk about a contradiction? i think so! I don't know where she was coming from.
Running is amazing for me in alll regards. i am slow as molasses, but I don't care....
