Congratulations on your re-commitment, and hello to everyone joining in.

I find that getting involved in the community helps me in several ways. First there is the support from people going through the same thing that I am. Second, you learn a lot from researching and answering people's questions. And third, it's just fun to connect!

I recommitted and restarted on fastbreak today too. I haven't been here in so long that sparkradio and sparkcoach are both new to me. I downloaded the podcasts and uncommitted today will hopefully do better tomorrow but at least I did better than yesterday.

I'm inspired! I would come on in previous years, but wasn't consistent--and didn't do as well as you! When I break 200 again I will dance about! I'm also a rededicator, and am determined!

Hi all!

I just wanted to stop by and say "hi" and connect with some others on Fast Break.

I first started Fast Break in January and at this point have lost 30 pounds. Woohoo! The program really does work, and it hasn't been difficult.

Recently, though, I find that I'm not coming to SparkPeople as often, nor have I been using the tools that I found so helpful when I was first starting out - Nutrition and Fitness Tracking and SparkPoints, primarily. There have been many days that I didn't even use my SparkCoach. And the more time goes by, the more days I seem to skip. My eating habits are good, but the rest is beginning to slide, and I know from experience that it can be a slippery slope!

Even though things are still going well and I continue to lose weight, I know I could do better if I went back to basics. So I re-set my SparkCoach to Fast Break. I'm posting here to state, in print, that I'm re-committing to following the Fast Break program, especially TRACKING of all kinds:

- using the Nutrition Tracker to write down EVERYTHING
- using the Fitness Tracker and walking at least 10 minutes at lunch and another 10 minutes in the evening
- tracking my Fast Break goals, which are (1) read a success story every day, (2) eat at least 2 fruits/veggies, and (3) take a walk every day.

The other thing is, I never got into the habit of using the SparkPeople community, even though it says all over the site that people are more successful when they connect with others. So this time, I'm going to use the message boards and my blog to get something down in print about my journey, at least once a day.
