A big selling point here is that you can get your fill of it without adding sugar or sweetner. If you mixed it with water or milk you likely would have to sweeten it up. hth

Hi OSLOFILE, no I just wanted to say thank you for your ideas. It might sound funny to some others, but trying to eat right and cutting out the (bad & fast) foods for your menu this will help to not fall back. Thanks again, really alot! emoticon

Thanks for the compliment. The main reason for my doing it is it does add a nice flavor and I am able to eat some every am and, for me it controls my addiction to it, I hide my daily dose of Turmeric in it as well. I can't taste the Turmeric this way.

In making the oatmeal measure out what you need add cocoa and stir dry, then add water, Turmeric if you want and nuke it for 1 min 45 seconds let it rest a couple of minutes and add your fruit. I add frozen blueberries every day and when in season I buy fresh cranberries and freeze them. I add them frozen and mix. the hot oat meal will soften the cranberries and it doesn't seem to be as tart, doing it that way.

There are other ways to get the cocoa. I buy my greek yogurt plain, no fat. When the container is about half empty I add 3 or 4 teaspoons of cocoa to it . Replace the lid securely and shake vigorously 5 or 6 times and you have your own choc yogurt but the difference is you know what chocolate is in it.

I don't know if this cocoa is the recommended brand but for now it is the best that I can find.

I love chocolate!! I guess you would say it is my down fall. I bought some of that dark chocolate and will eat a little every once in a while to curve my cravings. emoticon
I am eating lots more fruit and veggies, which are so good for you!! emoticon

I have found that by my adding Hershey's unsweetened cocoa to my oatmeal in the am and then microwave it. The mixture blends right in. Since adding that to my daily eating. I have not had a craving for choc. In fact, I had to buy my grandson some choc. He wanted 3 snicker bars and I bought a pack of 5. I did not even consider eating the two extra bars which I would have done with no thoughts or hesitation, in the past. I've had more thoughts about buying a loaf of bread than I did about the choc. HTH

I enjoy chocolate- i just *try* to eat it in moderation. I'm pretty sure I've seen chocolate covered blueberries at Trader Joe's :-) Seriously, I've been trying to sub lower cal snack/desserts for after supper. I'm having some success with blueberries or a seving of fruit. I've been eating kiwis LOL

I found organic, dark chocolate covered pretzels at Whole Foods. They aren't too bad calorie-wise. They fill my chocolate cravings.

Good Job!

I just discovered Skinny Cow Dreamy Milk Chocolate & Caramel Clusters. 120 cals for a bag of five quarter-sized candies. I thought they were as satisfying as a Twix. Of couse, not as nutritionally valuable as blueberries!

It's that time of day. 2:15.. Finished lunch a little bit ago and now I am craving something sweet. Specifically, I want a Twix. Instead, I will munch on blueberries and hope that takes care of the sweet craving!
