This is one party that i can truthfully say i am glad it was canceled. I would begin by entering everything in both the food and fitness tracker. If you have just begun to run then you may be developing a small amount of muscle mass but it should be evident in the numbers when you track your fitness.
Your persistence will pay off ... and ... quitting smoking is a huge deal! Way to go!!! You can do this!! One day at a time, one run at a time, one meal at a time!

I understand that it is common to gain a little weight when you quit smoking. You've probably increased your calories in dribs and drabs without realizing just how much total you are eating. Stick to it and you'll start losing again...AND quitting smoking is much better for you than gaining a few pounds is bad for you.

I've gained 10 pounds (OK 13.8, but who's counting) since I quit smoking and started running. I have no idea why I'm gaining. Too much exercise? Too little exercise? Too much calories? Not enough calories? I don't know(!!!!), but I'm busting out of my fat pants. I haven't been able to do much for over a week because I have a sinus infection, so I'm feeling especially down....BUT I'M STILL HERE! I'm still ready to put on a happy face and remember how far I've come. I'm not going to let negativity drag me backwards. I still believe in me! And that's my woo'hoo moment.
