It's tough being stuck in a rut. but if you want to start feeling better, you've got to pull yourself up out of that hole. Do you suffer from depression ? When someone is depressed, they do tend to neglect their health. Have you been under any unusual stress at home, work, school or with your relationship ? I'm a firm believer that stress is a neglected aspect of weight gain. If a person could reduce their stress, they'd automatically reduce their waistline.

So, if you don't want to see the weight creep back on, you've got to do your best to paying attention to your portion sizes. The more junk you eat, the worse you're going to feel. Try to eat wholesome foods that nourish your body. I've said it before, if you eat crap, you'll feel like crap. thus the need to try to eat as healthy as you can.

Just start with a few simple changes you CAN stick with to get yourself back on a healthier track. try to drink more water. try to eat more servings of veggies. try to get some regular exercise. there is nothing like a good vigorous workout to get the blood pumping.

Are you bored ? Maybe that's the problem. If you've become bored with your healthy routine, you need to find ways to perk it up. try a different workout DVD or class at the gym. Try some new recipes. If you're feeling low, blog ! Writing out your feelings can be very cathartic and helpful.

Just a few thoughts.

Based on your ticker tape, you're doing something right. Maybe it would help if you disassociated healthy eating and exercise from weight loss. It's something to do to feel better, be healthier, and more energetic. Try taking a short walk, getting 5 fruits/ vegetables today, drinking 8 glasses of water. Sometimes dehydration can leave you feeling fatigued and listless, especially in the summer.

Turn on Star Trek and march in place. Do 10 jumping jacks every time they show an outside view of the ship. Do squats whenever your favorite character is on screen. You CAN do this. Focus on now.

Yuck. Just...yuck. I'm unfortunately feeling pretty down now (on a scale of 1-10, I'd give myself a 6) because I haven't exercised in nearly 3 weeks and I would say 40-50% of the time I'm not too good about controlling my eating. So now I'm just feeling like I want to crawl in bed for about 5 days and watch Star Trek.

That being said, I am really proud of myself that I ate a good breakfast this morning, and I have an appointment straight after work so I'm gonna pick up a delicious salad for lunch. I'm just already thinking about how tomorrow I'll mess up again!
