Do what works for you. We are all sharing what works for US, but in the long run, if you need to lie in a dark room to recover, do that. Are you on anything for the mi graines? If they are that bad, a doctor might be able to advise. I find that if it is a mig raine, I need quiet, dark, and alone at least for a while. Sometimes if I catch it early gentle walking helps, if it gets full blown, nothing much helps. Then afterward, gentle - NOT A HEAVY DUTY - WO RK OUT helps, just a quiet stroll outside in the fresh air.

i get migraines all the time but i can never go for walks; let alone blink. any advice on that?

I regularly get migraines, and sometimes when nothing else will work, going for a short run will actually be the thing that will make it go away. That doesn't mean I want to get out there and exercise, just that when I make the effort, it sometimes does help the situation more than laying in the dark with my eyes closed.

There are days when I feel ill - especially with a headache - and I don't feel I MUST ex er cise - I tend to believe in taking care of ME. Often once I decide I don't HAVE to, I find I am more likely to do it anyway, because it doesn't feel like a CHORE but more like a CHOICE.

U know I was just sitting here trying to get motivated to at least walk on my treadmill for an hour or emoticon so, but I lack the motivation to get off my duff and do it. So I am going to call on my discipline to kick in and remind me of the reason I am a fitness fanatic and I am going to get up and do this. I guess this is where the SP network of individuals who help other individuals comes to the rescue emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I think it would be very difficult to exercise with a headache, but maybe getting outside and getting some fresh air might help.

I was very sick yesterday after a reaction to some shrimp I ate- I was swollen as all heck and it continued into today. I felt gross, ugly, bloated...just disgusting. I went to the gym anyway and hopped on the treadmill for a brisk walk and covered four miles in just over an hour.

I felt so much better having done it. My bloating started to decrease a little once I was done, and my frame of mind was so much better.

You can do this. Drink some water, go for a walk. Just don't let this overtake you- you can beat it.

I wouldn't want to exercise with a headache either. Maybe take a rest day. Or do some yoga to relax. Feel better!

Headache today and is only increasing. Have followed through with glucose testing and eating. Do not want to exercise; just want to lay down somewhere dark and quiet.
