A healthy lifestyle is a process - more of a journey than a destination. SP with all its features and tools can help you along the way and with the support of its members, well, it's a recipe for success!
Don't expect to change everything overnight. It takes small steps to get from where you are to where you want to be. Just think about The Tortoise and The Hare. You can win the race if you stay focused and take slow, steady steps to get there.
"Moving More & Eating Less" works so try getting in some exercise everyday even if it's only in 10 min. increments - it all adds up in the end. Try making healthier food choices and watch your portions. And tracking your food does make you so much more accountable for everything you put in your mouth.
Surveys have shown that participants in Message Boards lost more weight and stayed with their program longer than non-participants so come by as often as you can. Here at SP you'll find all kinds of motivation and support from people who have similar goals as you do. We are all taking this journey together and we truly want to see each other succeed!!

ANY time is a great time to start...especially with Sparkpeople. Give yourself a big hug for making this positive choice for yourself. Take your time to explore all the resources available for you here. It can seem overwhelming because there are so many resources to choose from. Two to consider using are the Nutrition and Fitness Trackers. Also, check out Spark Teams under the COMMUNITY Tab. Do searches on your goals, interests, hobbies, whatever. Then join one, two or more Spark teams. You'll enjoy getting to know these folks and giving and getting lots of encouragement along the way. It's all good. Enjoy the journey!

Hi all my name is Cindy and I am 53. I have a personal ad that I would love to post. WANTED One new body in exchange for old broken down, health issues infested, and tired of running to the potty more often than people run to catch their planes.
I have a great personality and just as soon as I can figure a date I have the greatest man waiting to marry me. I just feel bad about my life right now and am looking for the changes I need to foster a better attitude. I am willing to put forth the effort to achieve the results needed to make me the once happy go lucky person I was. Looking for all the support and tips I can get. BBL
