Hello all I am starting on my weight loss of 50 pounds and muscle building trip. I wish everyone here the best of luck in their goals. Just remember it's 75% diet 25% working out. Man 1,900 calories a day sure does hurt from what I was doing before. I would consume 5,000 calories a day and not even think about it.

Wishing everyone here well and luck.

Thanks Ruthie. Haven't figured out to "friend" yet but will try to do that soon. Yes - I agree that finding people to connect with who have the same goals and things in common is very helpful. I work a full-time job, although from home so it's a little easier to track everything. Thanks for your support and helpful tips! Have a good day!

Thank you Shannon! Second day and good so far. Sticking to the food plan and hoping to be able to stick to exercise plan! Still need to weigh myself so I can keep track of that. Normally I just go by how my clothes fit - HATE getting on the scales! But - has to be done. Have a good day. :-)

Welcome to SparkPeople, FAITHT33. This IS a great sight. I LOVE the tracker. And I totally agree that those crazy, fad diets are not realistice. Better to find an eating plan you can stick with ..... forever....

Hi All,
I am new to this site and found it because I almost started the HCG diet plan and after doing some research realized that it would not be a realistic weight loss plan for myself. I started looking online to find other options and discovered this site. I'm almost through my first day and so far it's been good. Earning points already and I discovered a delicious and easy to make sandwich - the raisin, walnut, cream cheese, romaine lettuce on flour tortilla. Love it - very filling and YUMMY! Learning to navigate my way through the site so it's easier and faster to log food, exercises daily and not get behind. I don't want to overwhelm myself with too much too soon, but I already like what I'm seeing! Looking forward to the new ME! :-)
