If you want to dance at your granddaugther's wedding, just put you on some lively music and start dancing NOW!! Or walking, yoga, anything to get moving & finding something you enjoy will be even better!!

Welcome to Sparkpeople! I suggest finding at least one feature on this website that you can do on a daily basis that works for you. For some people that is making a daily status update. For others it's tracking exercise and/or food. For me my most helpful habit is to blog. I find that it's cathartic and keeps me focused on my daily, weekly, and monthly goals.

Last but not least, work on building up your Sparkpeople friends list for support. Feel free to add me as a friend :D Good luck!

I'm a 48 year old female and I've been heavy most of my adult life. Have decided its time for a change as my knees are starting to really bother me and I'd rather grow old and die with my hubby than leave him alone. Also I have a BEAUTIFUL 6 year old grand daughter that has made me promise to dance at her wedding so.....any points, hints etc would be appreciated!
