2 eggs scrambled with broccoli or zucchini topped with 1 tbsp of Parmesan cheese... Or use 1 egg and 3 egg whites... Or just 1 egg and wrap it in a tortilla.

Shredded carrots topped with marinara sauce, 1-2 oz of chicken, and Parmesan cheese.

An apple, a cheese stick, and 1/2 oz. of almonds

Chopped Spinach topped with 2 tbsp of black beans, 2 tbsp of corn and 1/4 cup of salsa... The salsa makes a great healthy dressing!

1/2 cup brown rice, 2 oz. of chicken, and grilled asparagus.

Sauté tomatoes, green beans, and mushrooms in balsamic vinegar... Serve with 1/2 cup of pasta.

Baked sweet potatoe topped with a bit of Greek yogurt (or your other favorite topping) with Kale chips.

One way that I cut calories is using nonstick pans and water instead of butter or oil to cook things. I sauté onions, peppers, pretty much anything in a couple of tablespoons of water instead of oil. Just stir it often.

For green smoothies, I do a banana, 3-5 strawberries (depending on size), 1/4 cup almond milk (or orange juice, or watermelon juice, or milk, or just water), 3 cups of spinach... You can start with 1 cup and work your way up if 3 is too many.

I eat a lot of the same stuff daily too, but I prepare it in different ways. Be creative with what you eat. Take a look at the recipes on this site or others and go for it. There are snacks on this site as well. Most of my snacks are vegan raw so I am not sure how much help I can be. I don't eat the standard american diet. Apples and peanut butter or other nut butters (i am partial to cashew butter that I make myself.)
Some cubes of cheese with veggies or fruit. (you can add crackers but I don't personally do those either).
You can choose to do a yogurt if you do dairy with some fruit or nuts.
I love a good smoothie. It takes me a while to drink it down and is extremely filling. I don't buy them. I make it from scratch so I can control the ingredients and sugar.
I do little to no sugar daily. My sugar primarily comes from the berries or other fruit I throw in my green smoothie.

I don't necessarily follow calories because of what I do choose to eat, but I am careful with the nut butters and nuts and seeds i do consume.

Hopefully some of this helps.

How many meals and snacks do you have in a day? It's highly unusual to keep meals as low as 250 - that is very low!

With 3 meals of 300-400 and 3 snacks of 100-200 you can easily make 1200-1550 calories daily.

I get in a rut making sure I get enough to fill me up but not go over on calories for the day. I eat a lot of the same stuff day in and day out. I am pretty new on here so I have no spark friends hardly to talk to about this so I figured a post would maybe give me some new ideas to spice up my days where food is concerned. It can be meals under 250 or snacks under 100. Does anyone have any ideas that would help me? Thanks a bunch! Keep up the good work!
