Well I really hope this isn't getting too personal, but keep in mind that if you have recently increased your sexual activity (especially if you have recently lost your virginity) that can make you "develop" more, kind of similar to a late growth spurt that most other spark members have been talking about here. That's quite normal, absolutely nothing wrong with it, you sound totally normal and healthy. Yay you!!!

i hit my full height when i was thirteen and my boobs settled shortly thereafter. that is until i was twenty one, at which point they decided it was time to grow up into my adult size.
at eighteen you're likely just not done growing yet.
you may also want to head in for a refit on the bras. it's possible that your bandwidth should have gone up to a 36, which would mean you fitting better in a 36 c or even a 36 b.

when I started this journey I was a 44DDD -- I am now a 34 barely filling a B -- I would talk to your lady doc about it, just to make sure, but it sounds to me like you just hit a growth spurt in that department.

Pretty awesome though :)

I gained a cup size each year I was in high school up until freshman year in college, so you definitely can experience a later growth spurt.

Yup, you're just growing up.

This probably isn't the case for you, but obese girls who lose weight in their late teens to mid twenties sometimes even get taller! Body fat and growth hormones are all tied together, so obese children sometimes stop growing when they reach adult body fat levels. If they lose some of that excess body fat before it's too late, sometimes the growth signal turns back on. (I lost 15 pounds my freshman year of college, and I grew over an inch. Unfortunately I had no idea why it was happening. If I had know, I might have kept up the weight loss and grown tall enough to reach things!)

Happens to me too. I don't know why. I'd love to share it as DDs are heavy.

I think it would be good to bring it up at your next visit with the gynecologist (you're getting regular checkups there, right?). But I'm willing to bet it's a natural late growth you're experiencing.

Wish I had that problem. I've been a B-cup forever, no matter how heavy I was.

Something similar happened to me when I was your age. When to the department store one day and I was a cup size bigger! But I'm jealous of you because the girls have been shrinking since I started running.

That explains it then! My friends were green with jealousy that I was losing weight and getting bigger boobs emoticon

Ah, if you're under 20, then almost certainly. Women can continue growing (yes, your bra size, too) until you're around. I don't think this has anything to do with your weight loss. :)

The only exercise I've done is cardio, would that make it happen too? I have been 34C since I was 14, and I just turned 18 on the 23rd of this month so maybe it was an overdue growth spurt?

It's possible too that you're building chest muscle which makes the girls stand up a little straighter.

I get fitted every year (my mother's advice), at the same place. Was last measured August 2012, and then literally ALL of my bras stopped fitting slowly over time so I went back and found out I went up 2 cup sizes.

The last time I lost a bunch of weight, I went from 38B to 34D. I KNOW I hadn't been wearing proper fitting bras. Now, I've been resized again and I'm 38G! I had no idea that so much of my "under arm flab" was actually breast tissue and needs to be pulled into the cup! Even though I'm way heavier than when I was the 34D, I look SO much better in a proper fitting bra.

WEll that's certainly one I haven't heard before; I think that this may be coincidental. Your boob gain may be unrelated to the weight loss. Have you had to buy new bras, the old ones stop fitting, or did you go get one recently and got a surprise? How long has it been?

A lot of times, when I've worn a bra for a while, it expands with you... and when you get resized, your boobs have grown and you didn't notice!

I have lost 10 pounds so far, and possibly another 2-3 since the last time I weighed myself. I used to be 34C which I was of course happy with, and worried that losing weight would make me smaller, but I have gone up TWO cup sizes to 34DD! Is this common? I am not complaining by any means, I am just perplexed by this. Everything else has stayed the same (birth control, medicine, etc) so the only thing I can put it down to would be losing weight.
