You certainly know that that is true. All of us WISH we'd have taken care of our health better and never allowed ourselves to get fat, so TODAY is the day to start making changes, so like you say, when we are 80 (for me that is 17 years from now), we will be much better off. Jack LaLanne lived to be 96 and worked out the day before he died.

I'm reading Richard Bernstein MD's "The Diabetes Diet" because I have Metabolic Syndrome/Insulin Resistance. I've learned so much about why I have such a hard time trying to get this fat off of me. He has lectures on YouTube that are so worth listening to as he is a Type 1 Diabetic who has had the illness since age 12 and he is now 78.

I have decided that the choices I make today, will help me walk on down the road when I'm 80 (if I live that long!).
So, as I work through various health/physical issues, I think in terms of my long term goal!
