One reviewer pulverizes the oats prior to adding them in to make a binder. You could also try adding ground flaxseed (mixed with a little water/broth/juice) as an egg substitute.

Sounds like you need some egg, ala meatloaf mixture, or some kind of liquid like olive oil or sauce?

I had problems getting the lentil patties to stick. They were very yummy, but came out like grainy cous cous type consistency, they would not form into patties at all.
This is the recipe word for word (followed it exactly)

1/2 cup uncooked lentils
1/2 cup uncooked brown rice
3/4 cups carrots, finely grated
1 garlic clove
3/4 cups uncooked oatmeal
1 tsp season salt
1/2 small onion, finely grated

Cook lentils and rice in 2 cups water for 45 minutes, simmering over low heat in a covered pan. Allow to cool.

Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Shape into patties and cook on griddle or pan (may spray with non-stick spray) over medium heat, until nicely browned (about 6 minutes per side).

Any suggestions on how to get it "sticky" enough to form a patty??? (adding an egg perhaps????)
Thank you
