Proper rope skipping technique is low impact and anyone can do it age irrespective. Swing the rope with your wrists not your arms and only clear the floor enough to allow the rope to pass under which is less than one inch.Think skipping rope not jumping . For a good example of proper rope skipping technique Google a boxer doing straight not fancy rope skipping.

Awwwm to be able to jump rope again! I use to love it, but, alas, age has taken over and I would end up doing more injury than good anymore. It is a great exercise, and if one can physically do it, I would recommend it.

I use to love doing different moves in double dutch when I was younger!
That and hula hoops!
I'm so definitely going to the store when I get some extra spending money!! New change excepted lol!

Fieldworking: Have you tried wearing two bras. I wear what I call a "heavy duty" bra. Its straps do not have padding, however you can tighten the straps basically as far as it can go. These bras you usually find in a box. There is no padding within, and no underwire. Over my "heavy duty" bra, I wear a sports bra. I usually get the Hanes brand. I find this combination keeps them in place. lol

I've started jumping rope again about 2 or 3 times a week. I do this after my run and core workout.

I would like to jump rope but my knees don't care for that. I have to do low impact activities~

When I was a kid, I used to jump rope all the time. I'd visit my grandparents in the summer and my granddaddy would tie one end of the rope to the porch. Then, he'd sit in a chair and turn the rope while I jumped. One summer, I jumped rope so much that it left a bald spot at the corner of the porch. My grandparents didn't care. They were glad that I was having fun. Looking back, I think it was more for them to get me so tired so that I'd fall asleep earlier (undiagnosed with ADHD; didn't know until I was 19).

I hope to get back into jumping rope in the future. I'd have done it sooner, but I have to find a way to keep from having certain body parts poking out my eyes.

I always enjoyed jumping rope, but unfortunately it's not really an exercise I can do anymore. Physically, I can, sure! The problem is I pee all over myself when I jump. :)

I try to to do one minute work with one minute rest for up to 20 minutes. My goal is to be able to jump at least 12 minutes straight. Just takes time I guess.
