Oh I do plan to go slowly to get back into the swing of things. My back was twingy before it was full blown agony and I cut back on a lot of things even before it got bad. Yesterday I was just pleased that I managed to get 3 loads of laundry done with limited discomfort. I'll probably start back with the pool. I kept wanting to go to the hot tub at the Y, but even just doing that is a LOT of walking from the parking lot and I decided against it.

Sometimes, life just happens that way. It's OK. It sounds like you had a great active vacation at least! I'm sure you'll be able to ease in to your exercise again. Be careful not to strain your back again, it might be better to go slow at first! Good luck.

I was just starting to get back into the swing of things with regular exercise since my Dad died and then I was side tracked by a cold that sapped the life and lungs out of me. Then when that was passing, my back was in such spasm that I could hardly move without pain, let alone think about exercise. Heat and ice packs and have my husband do all the heavy lifting.

We just came back from vacation. Now, let me tell you, for the days we spent in the car, we sure made up for it in the walking we did the next day. My upper back still isn't great but I feel like I'm about ready to get back to the pool. Hopefully I can get some weight to budge soon.
